*Any* young kid going missing is a tragedy - both for the kid and for the
parents.
How would *you* feel if you had lost a 3-year-old - even if (maybe
particularly if) you felt at least partially to blame for it happening?
There is no doubt but that this case has been over-hyped in the media - and
people (not me!) have felt disposed to contribute towards measures aimed at
finding the kid. I'm personally not over-fussed about how the money is used.
No amount of money can compensate for the loss of a kid.
