Many innocent explanations for this. And nobody doing ML would be
arranging for (what you assume are) 3rd parties to pay the *source*
funds into a bank account which is immediately traceable to the person
allegedly doing the ML.
Reporting that is quite disgusting. I hope you are proud of it. Don't
tell me, your last job was an ISO9000 quality manager?
You may as well report all builders, decorators, pub owners, in fact
anybody who pays in any cash.
Attacking such businesses is the tack which the Revenue takes these
days, in the knowledge that - regardless of whether tax evasion has
taken place - a "useful" settlement will nearly always be negotiated.
But it is not the BANK's job to feed HMRC with leads. They don't need
any anyway; they know all the "usual suspects".
