Subject: Who to pay on FSBO

I am considering buying a property on Ebay, of course I am cautious.
The seller says he is using a title company but also says the payment
has to be sent to him within 48 hours via bank wire. Is that common, I
thought the payment would go to the title company directly, Is this
shady?
