Agreed. It used to be deemed to clever to say 'all my insurance is with
my bank' usually with a cozy smug grin and the utterer thought he was
being quite clever. Now it just indicates a fool. With some clearing
bank cashiers having to phone in their sales figures twice daily, and
with IT systems that tell the cashier what to flog to each customer
based on their credit score and the databases other knowledge of the
behaviour of that particular client it is highly unlikely that the
customer is advised what is best for him.
