I had some excellent news today unrelated to this matter but
nonetheless something which I think you may all be interested in. I
had an appointment at my local trading standardss office and gave a
witness statement to a senior Trading Standards which may used as
evidence in a trial regarding an eBay seller who had sold me a
counterfeit memory card. The seller has been been an operating a mass
counterfeit operation of Sandisk and Sony memory cards and has sold
almost =A3300 000 worth of counterfeit goods in the last 10 months.
Birmingham Trading Standards and West Midlands Police had a warrant to
search the premises from which the seller has been operating from.
They did so yesterday evening at 6pm. You can read the full story on

It just goes to show that individuals can make a difference and
Trading Standards do act. In fact I've been the speed, efficiency and
professionalism in which they have acted so far. They only received my
letter on Tuesday this week!
