Given the people who read and post to this group, "idiot" seems hardly
adequate as a description. If Holmes had been using ARPANET when Holmes
claims to have been using ARPANET then he would have been known to some
of us. Because back then the number of people with access was a slack
handful, many of them in Computer Science laboratories, most of them in
the US military, not more than a handful in UK institutions.

Not of course that I need to tell you this.

He reminds me of the serial fantasist "Internet Engineer" who made
similar claims about a decade ago and who was shot down in flames in
consequence. And of course he was shown to have lied about his
qualifications and he had to run off and have a degree bought for him in
a misplaced attempt to save his face.

I'm still amused by someone tryng to claim that they have been using OE
for over 35 years. Time machines must be cheap in some corners of the
universe.
