I think its obvious that mortgage payment protection is not offsettable
for a BTL and I am at a loss to understand why a landlord would wish to
buy such insurance as the payments on the loan are based on the rental
income.
I can not understand how the HMR&C statement about MPPI means you can
only set off rental guarantee insurance. You can most certainly offset
buildings insurance premiums as well.
