Subject: NatWest Home Loans: historical mortgage exit admin fees?

I had an NWHL mortgage from 1 Dec 1989 to 9 Dec 2005, at which point I had
to pay a "sealing fee" of £225 when paying it off early. Following news of
yesterday's FSA statement I checked back to see what I originally signed up
to. Although I'm careful about keeping all paperwork I couldn't find
anything relevant before a 1993 leaflet saying "sealing fees" would be £40
for each document needing to bear the company seal. I'm sure there was only
one such doc (the actual title) so I expect to be in line to claim at least
£185 back - assuming that's the policy option NWHL now choose. But does
anyone know what the charge would have been on 1 Dec 1989?
