If you go to a broker who charges say 0.5%, with a refund of anything the
lender gives him, then you know he'll get paid (if the deal goes through),
he knows he'll get paid, and you know that even lenders who don't pay
anything to the broker will still be in his list. This should be a comfort
to you.
You can't expect him to work for nothing - or can you?
