In particular, 'are' for 'our', was one which caught my eye, and which
helps to render the missive pretty incomprehensible until you put
some effort into understanding what might have been meant.  This is
just not good enough.  The effort should be made by the writer, not
the reader.

There really is no good reason to use a spell checker *ever*, if it
leads to the practice of being lax when typing, on the basis that the
checker will catch all one's mistakes.  Far better not to make them
in the first plaice.
