Yes, put some of each in about a year ago. Put cordless in the front
room (windows mostly on north and east-north-east sides) and top down in
the family room (windows on south-west and casual dining).

Pretty useful. Maybe not quite as handy. It is nice to block the low
sun and leave the top open while eating dinner.
Remember that with top-down you will have two cords per blind, instead
of just one in the normal cellular blind.

Yes.
Of the two, I'd be inclined to go all cordless next time. Having no
cords presents a very nice appearance. Having two cords on the top-down
shades is rather annoying.
