You should probably talk to a realtor and do some research online to
find out what the market is like and what it has been like. Stay away
from an interest only loan or you really might end up losing money if
you have to sell for less/same in a bad market. We just bought and
don't know if we'll be here 2 or more years, but it's a Navy town so
usually easy to sell a house. If you do buy close to campus you could
always hold onto the house as a rental until the market improves again
to sell. Students will always need a place to live. Good luck!
