Our fridge makes a loud buzzing whenever the compressor is on.  Used to
be real loud cause the compressor was fastened to the frame in the back
at the bottom with bushings etc. that could not do the trick.  I added
a few washers to one of the bushings to get the thing to at least not
sound like a giant-sized vibrator.  It' s about half as loud now.

Experience tells me that the only way to narrow it down is to pull out
the fridge and listen to it cycle.  Takes time.
