Thank you for the replies.  Seems the builder gave them $400 to buy the
dishwasher and included, in that, the installation fees- but didn't
tell the kids that.  So, if they had upgraded the dishwasher to the one
they bought, they would have had to pay the difference.  Still, just
seems weird not to have had it done.  Thanks again!
