Can't blame them for that.  Pre-approvals are quickly headed towards 
worthless paper with some of the unscrupulous lenders out there these 
days.  A pre-approval may give you an idea what size of loan you can 
apply for, but it won't make any intelligent seller confident that you 
can definitely qualify for the loan.
