I go camping on an island which has no electricity or running water. The
ranger's girlfriend rigged up something similar. She took an old
clawfoot bathtub, and dug a pit partially under it. She burns wood to
heat up the water.
She has a short wooden platform on the bottom of the tub to sit/lay on.
I guess the cast iton gets HOT!
But she cheats: She uses a generator-driven pump to get the water from
the lake.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the
acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought,
by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the
disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.
