You need to fill in form P38(S) and a PDF of it can be downloaded from
this page. Once you complete this form and give it your employer
you'll be given an 'N' tax code so no tax will be deducted, and
they'll refund what they've deducted so far.
You still have to pay NI though, it makes no difference to National
Insurance whether you're a student or not.
