They make some suggestions for the revised offers, saying that price
alone is not the most important factor, but things like waiving the
home inspection would make an offer very attractive (wink, wink,
nudge, nudge). You could be right - they may not be happy with the
offers they have, so they're trying to drum up some competition. But
it really seems to me like they want someone to take the place "as
is".

I would think you could do an inspection (though not a complete one)
with a flashlight walk-through, as we did when we say the home. Right
now there is no water and no electricity. Our fear is that they may
have done something stupid like pour cement mix down the drain to mess
up the septic system, which you really need to dig up the tank to
determine.
