Anything that cost $17K used is an ultra-luxury for someone
who simply cannot afford it.  You should never spend more than
1/5 of your annual take-home pay on a vehicle.  Anything else
is a luxury, and unless you have the cash, you will simply end
up broke and in debt like most of the rest of the people in the
USA.  If that is your goal, buying fabulously expensive cars
will do that very quick.

Never make the mistake of thinking that something is OK just
because a lot of other people do it.
