Yes. I had this happen to me. There were 3 of us with full-price offers.
The seller raised the asking price in a counter offer. All 3 of us
refused it and walked away. The house did later sell. Just be aware that
you could turn off all of the bidders and not sell for anywhere close to
asking in the future, just as you might be able to sell for more. If you
don't sign an offer then it is not binding, so you can counter any offer
you want with whatever terms you want.
