I always seemed to be declined for the most simple credit such as store
cards etc. I have got a credit report from Equifax and Experian. I never
really use credit and have no late payments or anything like that.

Equifax seems to hold no credit info on me and has me down as address 'B'

Experian holds no credit info about me and has me down on an old address
'A'. They also list info about a family member who lived at address 'A' with
me. This info includes several applications for credit and a couple of
instances of late payments.

When applying for a mortgage I assume that Mortgage lenders use the above
information and since I find it impossible to get simple store cards etc.
will this mean I'll have trouble getting a mortgage? I have no bad credit
history myself so I'm a little confused! Is it a problem with addresses not
matching? To make it a little more complicated I now live at address 'C'.

What should I do before I start looking for a mortgage or will the lenders
look at my report properly instead of using the 'automated' systems that
department stores seem to use?
