I sent a similar answer to another person squawking about Realtor.com
Remeber that Realtor.com is an advertising vehicle for 1,000,000
Realtors to find buyers for their 2.5 million in unsold inventory. It
was never designed for you (the public) to easily find a home without
a Realtor.....Do you want your industry to design a website to replace
your job? As professionals we pay thousand to belong to MLS, which
allows us to find and search, in ALL the ways you want. Just ask you
sister how easy it is to find a property on MLS.
The other problem is low tech agents and brokers. With all the tech
tools available, some don't load any pixs or just 1 bad pix. I load the
max with virtual tours and maps, and all the school and other info I
can find. Some sellers ask me, can you but a classified ad in the
newspaper, THAT will sell my house....HA!
I recently spoke to the seller of a $15,000,000 ocean front home in
Florida, telling him about my services....and how his previous broker
only had ONE picture and no virtual tour on his house. He was
told....you don't need the internet to sell you property.....HA.
