Subject: Slimy film on wall of Pool

Hello,
    My swimming pool has been open for about 10 days now.
When I opened it, the walls were a bit green. With some shock treatment and
algaecide, the green went away and the walls were clean.
However, when swimming, I noticed that the walls were REAL slimy.
When I tried to rub the slime off, it caused semi-transparent white flakes
to enter the pool.
Now the water is filled with disgusting slimy white flakes.

What is this stuff and how do I kill/remove it?
