Evidently this is an in-area thing.

In my store in AZ the sporting goods are in the the far back, a 
bit left. Automotive far left back. Hardware between it and rear 
wall. Drugs immediate left next to the checkouts.

They've changed the layout at least four or five times that I can 
remember.
