Subject: Relaying Brick Driveway Question

Hello,

I want to know if I did the right thing.

I have a brick driveway that was installed about 4 years ago. It had weeds
growing between the bricks.

So I did the following.
1. Sprayed the weed killer to kill off all the weeds. Let it for a week.
2. Use a power spray and went through each gap between the brick where the
weeds where growing and removed it.
3. Sprayed dried driveway sand in the gaps.
4. Now the driveway looks lovely.

The problem is that this person (looked like a cowboy builder looking for
work) told me that I've done it all wrong. He said you need to remove all
the bricks and the relay each layer again and then put the bricks back. I
told him kindly that I was not interested, I want to know if I was correct?
