Please cite the source of your information.  The few leases I have seen
have had no such clause.  Here is a link to a Residential Lease Form that
has no such clause.  Perhaps some leases have escape clauses, or perhaps
most have it in the area where you live, but I don't think your broad
generalization is correct.
