I'd say it depends on the temperatures reached where you live.  I've found
that a cooling output of 2KW is plenty for a 25 sq/mtr room, with outside
temperatures ranging from 10 degrees centigrade to 26 degrees centigrade.

No doubt the metric meaurements will confuse you.  :-)
