Thanks for correcting my mistakes.
You can ignore land as investment at your own loss. The home prices have hit 
historic high in places like California. There is not much money you can 
make now. Any guy buying a house now will have hard time selling it for 
profit. Most people will not be able to afford the new houses because they 
are too expensive. They will be looking for houses in new cheaper cities. 
This will increase the demand for land. The land is still cheap compared to 
a house. Today houses are too expensive to be a good and stable investment. 
They are similar to the late 90's internet bubble. Where as once you own a 
land you have locked in the price of the house without buying the whole 
house. You only have to pay the construction cost in the future. Also it is 
not the price of the house which is going up, it’s the price of the 
land. Your house depreciates with time where as land appreciates.
