the ability to borrow against the house, the cost of house insurance/
renters insurance, the length of time of lease on renting vs length of
time on mortgage, house improvement fund (If I nuy a house for
$300,000, I would expect to spend about 10-25% of this on upgrades such
as carpet, finishing basement, lawn care, building a deck... some of
this will increase cost of house/ selling price, some will not.
Security of house, the concept of house improving credit score.
