The book entitled "The Millionaire Mind" by Thomas Staneley is a great
read. I have learned a great deal from this book and know many
successful people who have found value in the work of Dr. Staneley.
However, I received a notice for a free seminar that was supposedly
endorsed by this best selling author a few months back, and I decided
to check it out. When I walked in the door, the place wreaked of
network marketing (mlm) propaganda. They wanted you to fill out a card
giving them all your contact information before you even went into the
meeting, and there were large men standing by the exits who looked as
if they had been instructed to tie up and gag anyone who tried to
leave. I slipped out as quickly as possible before the event began. I
do not know to what extent Thomas Staneley actually endorses these
events, but I was rather displeased by the association. I recommend
reading "The Millionaire Mind" and "The Millionaire Next Door" (These
projects received their revenues from book sales and thus have little
motivation to deceive), however I would recommend avoiding free
seminars, no matter who endorses them (nothing is ever free).
