That seems a bit harsh, but they probably do this from the get-go in case
you do not pay. Then they have started the legal stuff and can get you out
as soon as possible. I got fed up with apartments and their "rules" and
purchased my own house in rural Oregon. When I lived in California, I never
thought I could afford my own home, but check out these prices (some as low
as $50K - but fixer-uppers)...
