The doors are easy to install, but you hit on the main problem
consumers have with the installation- vertical height.
Measure your opening very carefully. The kits allow for some
variation. A larger opening width-wise is only an esthetic problem.
Height-wise, lack of space is a killer. People end up scraping the
doors over the carpet. It leaves marks and is a pain to use. You can't
just cut the carpet where the door track goes and hope for the best
when the door has to open over that carpet. So measure until you are
sure and open the box at the store and check it.
If you already have bifold doors or have had them there with the
carpet, you're probably OK.
