Subject: A good book??

Can any of you make a suggestion for good
reading for an aspiring real estate investor?
There are so many books out there and I
I mistakenly  bought one of Tyler G. Hicks'
books at Barnes and Noble.   The book reads
like an advertisement for his newsletters and
other products, and is way too unrealistic in
it's approach.  I'm really disappointed with
it and don't want to go the guru route >>ie
Sheets and Beck.

I know that there is not one "best" book but
because there are so many just at B&N alone
I'd appreicate any suggestions.
