If the vacant lot is anywhere near yours, expect the mole and his
descendants to be paying you a visit soon. Even if the vacant lot is
distant, all you've accomplished is to turn your headache into someone
else's. Pretty much the equivalent of taking your trash, and dumping
it in someone else's yard so you don't have to pay for trash removal.
If you didn't want the mole, and it's a safe assumption no one else
does, why couldn't you have just humanely offed him?
