I am a gov employee in the Thrift Savings Plan a 401k like vehicle that
allows me to invest in one of five funds with varying risk. My most recent
statement came with a letter that stated:
"We have identified an error in the Transaction and fund details displayed
on the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) participant statement that was recently
mailed to you. During the period covered by this statement, your payroll
office removed funds from your account as part of its error correction
process. The statement shows the correct dollar amounts, however, the number
of shares shown is incorrect. This error did not affect your beginning or
ending dollar or share balances, just the negative adjustment entry."
Then there was a 'Withdrawls/Deductions' line in my statement for -26.25.
Am I missing something here? It seems like the error is with the payroll
office, but doesn't say what the error is. I will call them, but curious if
any other TSP folks out there know what this is all about and if this is a
common occurance.
Thanks and regards,
Tim
