Agree.  I don't see a financial problem here - but a problem of
another sort (dealing with chronic bad decisions).  The financial
element is merely how the problem is manifesting itself.  There are
likely other manifestations as well.  Anyway,  focusing on how the
problem shows itself doesn't help with the REAL problem.

I don't know enough to suggest anything at this point.  Usually I send
someone like this to a personal counselor.  Perhaps someone else has
insight into this phenomenon.
