Subject: Buying and selling homes without any money

Hi, I knew a person in my previous job who has in the past bought a
residential home
and a few months later sold it with a profit.  He did not put down a penny.
He attended
a number of training courses that cost him a few thousand dollars to become
familiar
with this kind pf process.  Is anyone familiar with this ?  What type of
training, and where ?
Any info is greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance
