Subject: selling and buying a condo

Hi everyone,
We are expecting an addition to the family soon, so we are considering
selling our current condo, which is on the samll side, and buying a
bigger place. We live in Boston area and the real estate sales are
currently pretty slow. We would appreciate any advice on how to
coordinate thse too processes so that would have money to pay
downpayment fromselling the current place and at the same time not
have to live on the street waiting for the new one. I read that the
best way may be to find an agent to handel both aspects of the process
and put corresponding stipulations in the the documents. What are the
reasonable fees in that case? Would we only pay comission for the sold
appartemt or in this case also for the one we buy? What is the best
timing: put our place on the market and start looking afterwards, the
other way around, etc.?
That's obvuiously a big investment for us, so any advice is very
welcome.
Thanks.
