Subject: Re: Why I will never buy a NEW house

The house I'm currently living in (1st one) is brand new. Even though I had
done exhausting research on getting a loan, how much house I could afford, etc,
I was caught a little ill-prepared to discover all the associated "taxes,
bonds, bills, etc" (whatever the heck you want to call them) that come with a
new home.

I now know from experience that the best house to buy is one that is 1-2 years
old. The house may cost more initially, but the money goes into the equity (as
opposed to more taxes), it will have all the mini-blinds, backyard
improvements, and other things that don't typically come with a new home
(shortchanged by the developer and nickel & dimed to death).
