Maybe this is a stupid question, but here goes...

I've read that sometimes credit card companies (as well as some other
companies that report to the credit agencies) may not update their
entry on your credit report ASAP.  So, for instance, they might update
it every 3 months or something.

I will have paid off all of my debt by November of this year.  My
question is, how can I be certain that each of the creditors will
update their information in my credit report (at each of the big 3
credit agencies) to show that I have paid off all of my obligations?
